WoW People

You raid with these people. You work with these people. These people are closer than your family. You should worry.

The GM
- He’s sacrificed his health, friends, and probably a couple of jobs to drag you through new content. When the guild isn’t performing, these decisions are in question. Prone to shooting sprees, forum flame wars, and the rapid advancement/gearing of whatever toon the guild “needs”. If you can keep your mouth shut, he’ll go emo and quit before you get gkicked. Still, you do like the guy. Or did. Before he went crazy. See drunks, below.

Free Programs and Utilities that I have on my PC

I’m going to post up a bunch of things that I use on my computer that make my life easier. Most are for XP, just fyi.

Launchy

“Launchy is a free windows utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager”

Good program, i just hit alt-space bar and type in something, i accidentally closed it earlier and had to think for a second how to open launchy without launchy!

More after the break

Photoshop Planets and Such

I’m finally done with my class work, finished my online class as well as my art class.

I sent in my Video card finally, sent in a geforce 7900gt, and guess what I got back for free.

Geforce 7950 GT2

This thing is sweet, I can max out on games and not have to worry about it, it’s quiet too.
These are planets I did for my art class, done using photoshop.

Closeup’s after the break.

The Top 100 Things I’d Do If I Ever Became An Evil Overlord

Posted on August 22nd, 2007 by Mrono.

1. My Legions of Terror will have helmets with clear plexiglass visors, not face-concealing ones.

2. My ventilation ducts will be too small to crawl through.

3. My noble half-brother whose throne I usurped will be killed, not kept anonymously imprisoned in a forgotten cell of my dungeon.

4. Shooting is not too good for my enemies.

5. The artifact which is the source of my power will not be kept on the Mountain of Despair beyond the River of Fire guarded by the Dragons of Eternity. It will be in my safe-deposit box. The same applies to the object which is my one weakness. (more…)

Ipod trials

A few weeks back I lost my ipod nano snowboarding, so I got one off ebay for cheap, it was cheap because it wouldn’t turn on, simple problem i figured…

update 1 - Got it and plugged it in, it showed a screen i’ve never seen before, “Please wait, very low battery”.  I left it plugged in all night to see if it would work, no dice, no change.

update 2 - I cracked it open to see what was wrong and I was quite suprised, the battery was completely disconnected, wires just hanging lose.  looks like a simple soddering job.

update 3 - I stand corrected, nothing in life is ever easy, remember that.  The guy i got it from said he got it from someone else, i’m guessing the someone else screwed around with it then after he messed it up he gave it away, from the looks of it he tried to replace the battery or something.  The terminals are covered in glue, maybe it’s just standard apple glue and he accidently broke the battery wires…

update 4 - I got most of it off and now i’ve just got to resodder it, hopefully, who knows what could be wrong next.
